Job Description

Accredited Environmental Technologies, Inc. (AET) is a professional environmental consulting, industrial hygiene and laboratory service firm headquartered just outside of Philadelphia in Media, Pennsylvania. Our firm has been in business for over 30-years and is currently seeking entry level individuals to join and expand our team. AET is a privately held corporation and provides its' employees with an expanded benefit program including 401K, FSA, health/dental care, and voluntary insurance coverage. This job is a Section 3 eligible job opportunity. We encourage applications from individuals that are low income and/or live in Public Housing and/or receive a Section 8 voucher Responsibilities As an Entry level environmental technician you will be responsible for, 1)assisting senior technicians in inspections and monitoring; 2)Be proficient in the use of inputting data on a tablet 3) Provide detailed written project records for documentation of work progress 4) Daily communication with project management; 5) Be able to carry a ladder and environmental testing equipment 6) Have a car and be able to drive 1-2 hours any given day. 7)Work a 7:30AM-3:30PM or a 3PM- 11:00PM shift Requirements The position is entry level and requires no previous environmental experience, however any experience is beneficial. You must be able to pass any and all background checks. This position requires daily travel for field services (valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required) along with the submission of daily samples and paperwork. The position requires a positive attitude with problem solving and work approval skills. The position requires daily status reporting along with the ability to follow direction from project management. Successful candidate must be dependable with the ability to work varying shifts with rapid response. The position requires proficient knowledge in digital communication and computer use for word processing, spreadsheets, internet and email as well as concise legible handwriting skills. Note and understand that the position and the descriptions/tasks described are viable and will change based upon the current needs of the corporation. Qualifications Must be able to pass background checks. Physical Requirements As the position is in the environmental industry, the successful candidate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, tour project sites, climb ladders/scaffolding in a variety of industries (commercial, industrial, transportation, etc.). Ability to visually discern site details for environmental inspections (color, distance measurements, etc.) and safety aspects. Ability to carry and mobilize testing equipment (up to 35 pounds). Ability to don personal protective equipment such as disposable coveralls, fall restraint harnesses, respiratory protection and similar. Successful candidate must be able to achieve physician approval for respirator use via company provided exam in accordance with OSHA standard. Position requires performance of task activities at client locations along with transport of samples, chain-of-custody reports. Successful candidate must be able to manage and schedule time effectively for both off-site and in-office responsibilities.
