Job Description

Midland Care Connection Midland Care Connection is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to helping older adults and seriously ill individuals stay independent and supported in their homes. Established in 1978, we offer a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and our signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Our mission centers on "meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions," and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas. Clinical Services Educator Midland Care is looking for a Clinical Educator - Infection Prevention & Safety to join our Education team. This role offers the opportunity to step beyond traditional bedside nursing and make an organization wide impact through employee education, new hire onboarding, clinical competency development, infection prevention, occupational health, and safety. You'll work across multiple service lines, including hospice, home health, and PACE, while helping support employees throughout their careers. You'll also have the opportunity to teach BLS, facilitate hands-on skills and competencies, develop and deliver education, and serve as a key resource for infection prevention and safety. This is a great fit for an RN who loves teaching, enjoys variety, is highly organized, and wants to use their clinical knowledge in a role that impacts hundreds of employees and the patients they serve. Skills Precepting and Mentoring Occupational or Employee Health Staff Development Clinical Competencies / Skills Validation New Hire Orientation / Onboarding OSHA / Employee Dafety Clinical Education Nursing Education Staff Education New Hire Orientation Employee Onboarding Clinical Competency Competency Validation Skills Validation Training Development Adult Learning Bloodborne Pathogen / Exposure Management Infection Prevention Required Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field Multi-state nursing license (Compact) or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire Occasional travel to other Midland Care Connection offices Active RN license (if nursing-focused role) 3-5+ years of clinical experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong communication and teaching skills Good organization and leadership abilities Preferred Nursing experience with hospice and/or home health EMR experience Infection control/employee health experience Previous experience as a clinical educator or preceptor Education or specialty certification Experience developing training programs Experience with quality improvement initiatives Targeted Certifications WCC — Wound Care Certified CIC — Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology CRNI — Certified Registered Nurse Infusion, for IV/infusion therapy COHN — Certified Occupational Health Nurse BLS Instructor — American Heart Association BLS Instructor What's in it for you?
