Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Director of Education & Infection Control to lead our clinical training initiatives and uphold the highest standards of infection prevention across our LTC facilities in Norwood and Waltham. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in staff development, compliance with health regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing leadership experience, critical care expertise, and a passion for education and patient safety. Duties Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive infection control policies aligned with state healthcare regulations and health regulation policies. Lead clinical staff training programs focused on infection prevention, patient care best practices, and compliance with HIPAA and other privacy standards. Coordinate adult education initiatives, including precepting new nurses, clinical instruction, and ongoing professional development sessions. Monitor infection rates and conduct audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols; analyze data to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with hospital teams to integrate physiology and anatomy knowledge into clinical practices; facilitate team leadership in acute care settings. Ensure accurate medical documentation, management of medical records, and compliance with medical terminology standards. Serve as a key resource for staff regarding hospital experience requirements such as ICU, pediatrics, nursing home experience, and home care practices. Experience Proven nursing leadership experience within healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, or teaching hospitals. Critical care experience including ICU or acute care environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in infection control protocols and health regulation policy knowledge. Strong background in clinical instruction, team leadership, training & development, and adult education methodologies. Experience with medical documentation systems, Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures across diverse populations including pediatrics and adult patients.
