Position Summary:
We are hiring a dedicated Infection Preventionist Nurse (RN/LPN) to lead infection control at our Long-Term Care facility. You will be responsible for protecting our residents and staff by tracking infection trends, training healthcare staff on safety protocols, and ensuring full compliance with CDC and state health regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures. Monitor infection trends and conduct surveillance for healthcare-associated infections. Investigate potential outbreaks and implement appropriate corrective measures. Educate and train staff on infection prevention practices, including hand hygiene, PPE, isolation precautions, and exposure prevention. Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, state, and other applicable healthcare regulations. Conduct regular infection control audits and assessments. Maintain accurate infection prevention records, reports, and documentation. Collaborate with nursing, medical, environmental services, and other departments to reduce infection risks. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention. Provide recommendations to leadership regarding infection control practices and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
. Active RN License BLS by AHA Minimum 1 year of Infection Prevention/Control experience preferred. COVID Card (Medical/Religious exemptions are accepted)
