Job Description

RN Director of Education & Quality Control - Skilled Nursing & Rehab, Confidential Opportunity. Up to $39 hour Plus a sign on bonus. A premier skilled nursing and rehab facility is confidentially seeking an RN to Lead clinical education , quality improvement, and regulatory readiness for a high‑acuity skilled nursing and rehabilitation center committed to evidence‑based practice and resident‑centered care. About the Role In this leadership role, you will design and oversee the facility's nursing education and quality programs, ensuring staff are competent, engaged, and prepared to deliver safe, high‑quality care every day. You will serve as a key clinical resource for frontline staff and leaders, connecting bedside practice with current standards, survey readiness, and performance improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct all nursing education, orientation, and in‑service programs across the facility (RNs, LPNs/LVNs, CNAs). Develop and update competency‑based training, including annual skills validation, mandatory education, and targeted remediation when survey findings or audits identify gaps. Partner with Nursing Leadership to maintain continuous survey readiness, ensuring documentation, infection prevention, and resident rights education align with current regulations. Coordinate new hire onboarding and preceptorship for nursing staff to support strong first‑year retention and consistent quality of care. Track and maintain accurate education and competency records, including in‑service attendance, CEU documentation, and licensure/certification renewals. Analyze quality, incident, and audit data to identify educational needs and collaborate on QAPI and performance improvement projects. Provide hands‑on teaching, coaching, and real‑time feedback on the units, building confidence and accountability in clinical practice. Support policy and procedure dissemination, ensuring staff understand and consistently follow facility standards. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in skilled nursing, long‑term care, or post‑acute rehab leadership, education, or quality roles. Demonstrated experience in nurse education, staff development, infection prevention, quality, or survey preparedness in a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of long‑term care regulations, documentation standards, and resident rights. Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills; comfortable leading both classroom and hands‑on training. Proven ability to organize multiple projects, maintain detailed records, and collaborate across disciplines.
Preferred:
Prior experience as a Director of Staff Development, Nurse Educator, Quality Nurse, or Infection Preventionist in skilled nursing or rehab.
