$150,000+ Job Summary The Sr. Manager of Infection Prevention and Control supports the planning, development, and /or implementation of the Infection Prevention Program. The role collaborates with clinical leadership, nursing, quality, employee health, and regulatory agencies to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, compliance, and organizational standards. The Sr. Manager serves as a subject matter expert in infection prevention practices, surveillance, outbreak management, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement initiatives. Essential Functions

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Demonstrates the technical/professional knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the successful operations of the department including, where applicable, age specific competency.

• 1. Daily surveillance activities and data analysis. 2. Coordination of Infection Prevention interventions. 3. Participates in performance improvement and patient safety activities related to infection prevention. 4. Serves as an educator/ consultant to hospital staff and departments. 5. Timely reporting to /compliance with all regulatory functions / agencies

1. Demonstrates fiscally prudent use of equipment and supplies. 2. Utilizes charge process for supplies/equipment.

PROJECTS/ASSIGNMENTS

1. Completes projects/assignments within projected time frames and expectations.
