Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Position Summary:
Field Technicians play a key role in monitoring drilling operations, collecting and analyzing geological samples, and providing real-time data to ensure drilling efficiency and safety. This is a field-based position requiring travel to remote drilling sites, extended work schedules, and a commitment to accuracy and detail.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, prepare, and analyze rock cuttings from drilling operations.
  • Monitor drilling parameters and gas levels using specialized mudlogging equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on geological findings and drilling performance.
  • Communicate effectively with drilling personnel and supervisors.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working on wellsites.
Qualifications:
  • Previous mudlogging or oilfield experience preferred but not required—we will train motivated candidates.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work rotational schedules (e.g., 12-hour shifts, 2-3 weeks on, 1 week off).
  • Comfortable working in remote locations and challenging environments.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with gas detection and geological analysis equipment.
  • Familiarity with drilling terminology and operations.
  • Strong mechanical or technical troubleshooting abilities.
