Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Position Summary:
Field Technicians play a key role in monitoring drilling operations, collecting and analyzing geological samples, and providing real-time data to ensure drilling efficiency and safety. This is a field-based position requiring travel to remote drilling sites, extended work schedules, and a commitment to accuracy and detail.Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, prepare, and analyze rock cuttings from drilling operations.
- Monitor drilling parameters and gas levels using specialized mudlogging equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on geological findings and drilling performance.
- Communicate effectively with drilling personnel and supervisors.
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working on wellsites.
Qualifications:
- Previous mudlogging or oilfield experience preferred but not required—we will train motivated candidates.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work rotational schedules (e.g., 12-hour shifts, 2-3 weeks on, 1 week off).
- Comfortable working in remote locations and challenging environments.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with gas detection and geological analysis equipment.
- Familiarity with drilling terminology and operations.
- Strong mechanical or technical troubleshooting abilities.
