Primary Focus:
Weekend Coverage Holton Community Hospital (HCH) is a rural Critical Access Hospital serving patients throughout our community and surrounding areas. Our CLIA-certified, comprehensive clinical laboratory supports the entire organization, including inpatient care, the Emergency Department, Family Medicine Clinics, and outpatient specialty services . We are seeking a PRN Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join our team. This position performs laboratory testing and supports the daily operation of the laboratory, including instrument maintenance and quality control. The role provides the opportunity to work across a variety of laboratory disciplines, including: Chemistry Hematology/Clinical Microscopy Coagulation Blood Bank/Immunohematology Phlebotomy Requirements Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related science, with appropriate laboratory training. Current ASCP or AMT certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) . Valid Kansas Driver's License. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to read and understand laboratory policies, procedures, and equipment operating/maintenance instructions. Ability to effectively receive and relay telephone and other business-related messages.
