Job Description

Associate Health Physicist Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products, Inc., a leader in radioactive isotope solutions for imaging, radiotherapy, and industry, seeks an Associate Health Physicist to support radiation safety across production and R D operations. In this role, you will perform radiation and contamination surveys, assist with dosimetry, maintain regulatory records, and support NRC and state compliance. You will help train personnel, participate in inspections and incident response, and collaborate with operations, QA, and EHS to continuously improve a safety‑focused, mission‑driven environment. Support implementation of the radiation protection program for isotope production and handling Conduct radiation surveys, contamination checks, and area monitoring Assist with dosimetry, exposure tracking, and investigation of abnormal readings Maintain records to meet NRC, state, and international regulatory requirements Support licensing, inspections, audits, and corrective actions Provide training and guidance on radiation safety procedures and PPE use Assist in evaluating new processes and equipment for radiological risk Contribute to incident response, spill control, and emergency preparedness Collaborate with operations, QA, and EHS to improve safety and compliance Prepare technical reports, logs, and documentation for management and regulators Radiation protection principles (ALARA, shielding, time-distance) Radiation detection instruments (GM, ion chambers, scintillation) Contamination and area surveys Personnel dosimetry and exposure assessment NRC and state radiation safety regulations Radiation safety program documentation and recordkeeping Incident response and spill management in radiological areas Radiation safety training support and communication Industrial/medical isotope handling procedures Data analysis and technical report writing Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k EIT or early progress toward Certified Health Physicist (CHP) preferred Radiation Safety Officer training or equivalent coursework desirable OSHA and HAZMAT/Hazwoper training a plus
