Computational MRI Physicist

Job Description

Computational MRI Physicist AION Biosciences St. Louis, MO Job Details Full-time 7 hours ago Qualifications Computational research Image processing Signal processing Calibration Computational modeling Math Radiologic image processing Physics Software development Simulation tools Senior level Using MRI scanners Full Job Description At AION, we're building sci-fi medical devices. Our mission is to bring aging under full biomedical control. We believe this can be achieved through closed-loop hardware that reads and writes biological states in living tissue using electromagnetic and acoustic fields. We're looking for exceptional scientists and engineers to join us in building machines that make aging optional. The Role As a Computational MRI Physicist at AION, you will: Build the computational layer that turns raw MR signals into quantitative measurements of tissue state Develop physics-based models and simulation tools for our low-field, single-sided MRI systems Develop reconstruction and parameter-estimation methods for T1, T2, diffusion, proton density, and other quantitative tissue properties Design acquisition strategies that maximize biological information per unit of time Build methods for uncertainty estimation, calibration, and longitudinal measurement Work directly with MRI engineers and biologists across simulation, hardware, and biological experiments Advance quantitative MRI, MR fingerprinting, field-cycling relaxometry, and model-based reconstruction You We value mission alignment, integrity, and ambition over pedigree. Strong first-principles thinker across physics, mathematics, software, and hardware Deep intuition for MRI physics, inverse problems, and quantitative measurement Strong scientific computing, signal processing, and numerical optimization ability Experience with quantitative MRI, reconstruction, computational imaging, or related fields Comfortable moving quickly between theory, simulation, and experimental systems Exceptional technical ownership and willingness to work on hard, unsolved problems Details St. Louis, MO (on-site). Equity for the right person.
