This role drives product and process innovation, oversees food science, packaging, and scale-up, and partners with operations to ensure safety, quality, and cost optimization. The leader will build and mentor high-performing technical teams, strengthen collaboration with plants and customers, and champion continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and technical standards across our North American manufacturing network. Responsibilities Lead overall science and technology strategy for private label product categories Direct product development, reformulation, and commercialization from concept to launch Partner with operations to optimize processes, yields, and line performance Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards Build, coach, and develop high-performing technical and R D teams Manage innovation and renovation portfolio, timelines, and budgets Collaborate with customers, sales, and marketing on technical solutions Drive continuous improvement using data, analytics, and experimentation Standardize technical best practices across plants and functions Represent R D in executive and cross-functional business planning Required Skills Food product development Process engineering Food safety & quality systems Regulatory compliance (FDA/USDA/CFIA) Stage-gate innovation Sensory science Packaging engineering Project & portfolio management Statistical analysis & DOECross-functional leadership
