Job Overview Monte Financial Group, LLC is a fee-only financial planning and investment advisory firm based in Guilford, Connecticut. Our expanding team operates across two business segments: Wealth Management and Asset Management. We are currently looking for a Research Associate (RA) to join our asset management team and grow with the firm as we continue to expand and serve our clients. Job Summary As a Research Associate you will be a part of the firm's asset management team. This position is onsite, located at our office in Guilford, CT. You will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Asset Management team to complete in-depth research and analysis to support the firm's portfolio monitoring process. Additionally, you will use statistical and data modeling techniques and tools to provide insights on the firm's equity and fixed income investments, economics, and capital markets. Key Accountabilities Create automated analytics using Bloomberg Query Language and Microsoft Excel to analyze market, economic, and company-specific data. Utilize AI agents to assist with fundamental company research and analysis, by completing comprehensive question-and-answer reports that support our portfolio monitoring process while maintaining source verification and quality control. Leverage Bloomberg and AI agents to analyze investment grade fixed income opportunities across treasuries, municipalities, and corporates. Leverage the firm's portfolio attribution software to develop portfolio and trading analytics. Utilize internal and custodial tools to manage trading responsibilities for assigned investment strategies, including portfolio rebalancing, new account implementation, tax-loss harvesting, and cash distribution management. Analyze client accounts, prepare comprehensive portfolio presentations, and collaborate with wealth advisors to present recommendations and insights during client meetings. Engage with corporate investor relations departments to gather information in support of our research process. Qualifications Strong analytical and quantitative abilities. Exceptional skills in data science, as well as written and verbal communication. Advanced proficiency in developing analytics using Microsoft Excel. Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrates problem-solving skills to address the challenges in data collection and analysis. A proactive self-starter with innovative thinking. Demonstrate interest in public markets and genuine curiosity in analyzing industries and companies. Capable of working effectively in a team while managing individual priorities, setting objectives, and completing time-sensitive tasks. Upholds professional standards, honesty, and integrity. Education, Experience, Licenses & Designations 0-2 years of experience in an investment-related role. BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields; candidates pursuing an MBA or MSBA may also qualify. Minimum GPA of 3.3 Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Bloomberg Terminal and AI agent experience is preferred. Must hold a Series 65 license or obtain it within the first 6 months of employment. Desire to pursue financial designations.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
