Until Filled Position Description Responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing and communicating data to college stakeholders via dashboards, other visualizations, and reports in support data-informed continuous improvement. Performs applied research, designs, executes, and evaluates analytical and statistical studies and/or instructional/institutional self-assessments to improve processes and inform policy. Design, guide, and manage information systems and databases to support instructional and institutional research activities and facilitate data integration and extraction identify trends and enhance student success strategies. Position Responsibilities 30%
  • Acquires, manipulates, develops, and maintains longitudinal data sets, verifying accuracy and consistency over time, in the context of evolving requirements regarding reporting instructional/institutional facts. 45%
  • Design, develop, and implement business intelligence dashboards, data visualizations, and reports leveraging a variety of data sources including relational and dimensional data models, ensuring a high level of timeliness, accuracy, and applicability for our business partners. 20%
  • Performs data reduction, statistical analysis of data, and interpretation of results; prepares or participates in the preparation and presentation of formal research reports. 5%
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Expectations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present it in a clear and concise manner. A keen eye for detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the analysis process. Proficiency using data analysis tools to prepare data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for users from all departments. Knowledge of software used to manipulate, summarize, and produce reports from multiple, large, complex data sets. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel and work in a team environment, without close supervision. Have a functional smart phone and high speed interent connection at residence. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience
  • Two years to five years of similar or related experience. Education
  • (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program. Interpersonal Skills
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.   • Demonstrated backgroud in managing research projects.
Physical Requirements The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office or classroom. Wages/Other The salaried rate for this position is $57,326.81 to $63,816.20.
