RESIDENCY
Candidates must have been legal residents of the following jurisdiction(s) for at least four months immediately preceding the date of the application: Livingston County, or One of the following
Counties:
Allegany, Genesee, Monroe, Ontario, Steuben or Wyoming
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
In order for an application to be approved, the applicant must clearly show the training, education, experience, and/or licensure/certification stated in the Typical Qualifications. All qualifying information must appear on the application form. No credit will be given for a Work Experience description that is unclear. The work involves responsibility for the development, coordination, and management of transportation services for the Livingston County Mobility Management Program. Incumbents are placed in frequent, recurring public contact situations and must be able to function both efficiently and courteously. Work is performed in the office and may be performed in the field. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this class. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Planning Director. A Mobility Manager does related work as assigned. Examples of Duties Develops, coordinates, and manages transportation services for client transportation for Livingston County (County) human service agencies for programmatic and non-programmatic trips and as otherwise directed; Primary point of contact for the Livingston County Mobility Management Program to ensure efficiencies of client transportation and the transportation system; Serves as primary contact for solving customer inquiries and billing discrepancies; Adheres to departmental customer service standards; Responds to and analyzes customer complaints; Serves as the inter-agency liaison with other County agencies, community-based organizations, other transportation providers, as well as employers, to maximize available transportation resources to meet immediate to long range transportation needs; Serves as intra-agency liaison regarding transportation issues and requirements; Designs and implements educational programs to address community needs and to inform the public of efficient ways to access existing transportation services; Creates, maintains, amends, and coordinates records for the transportation program; Prepares reports, grant applications, grant reporting, and other related documents for the transportation program; Attends meetings as assigned, which may be off site; and Performs other related duties as assigned.
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Good knowledge of County, local, and community needs and the resources available as they relate to transportation and human service agency programs; knowledge of transportation law and regulations; excellent interpersonal skills; excellent customer service skills; good verbal and written communication skills; good organizational skills; computer proficiency; ability to get along with others; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to keep accurate, clear, legible records and make reports; ability to use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, email, and database software; clerical aptitude; self-motivated and goal oriented. Typical Qualifications Applicants must meet all requirements for one of the following qualification options in order to be approved for examination and/or appointment: Qualification Option # 1 2 3 Training/Education Possession of a Bachelor's[1] [2] degree. Possession of an Associate's[2] degree. Possession of a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma. General experience Three (3) years of full-time, paid experience in transportation and/or a human service agency. Five (5) years of full-time, paid experience in transportation and/or human service delivery or a related field. Seven (7) years of full-time, paid experience in transportation and/or human service delivery or a related field. Supervisory experience N.A. License/Certification Possession of a valid New York State driver's license. Other requirements See Special Qualifications below. Part-time service will be given prorated credit toward experience requirements. [1] A higher degree is also acceptable. [2] Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency. Supplemental Information An appropriate driver's license must be maintained throughout employment. A driving record evidencing safe and responsible vehicle operation is required. Must authorize and execute any necessary releases to enable the appointing authority to verify licensure and driving history involving violations and/or crimes.
PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT NOTICE
An individual who receives a provisional appointment must take the examination for the position title on the next occasion it is offered. In order to be eligible for a permanent appointment to the position, the provisional appointee must pass the exam and be ranked 1, 2, 3, or be tied in score with the individual ranked number 3 of those who are willing to accept appointment to the position. It should be understood that even if the provisional appointee is eligible for appointment, the employer may choose another candidate to fill the position on a permanent basis. Questions regarding provisional appointments should be directed to the Livingston County Human Resources Department.

Livingston County residency is not a requirement for this position. However, Livingston County residents will be given preference in the hiring process.
