Key Qualifications:

Background as a school counselor, with expert understanding of student development Proven experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address student needs Familiarity with Responsive Classroom, PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), or Montessori education models Demonstrated ability to coordinate and maintain successful community partnerships Strong organizational skills for managing wraparound services for students and families Compassionate communication style, ensuring confidentiality and trust Ability to thrive as part of a multidisciplinary educational team Relevant state certification or licensure for counseling within an educational setting

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and group counseling to support students social, emotional, and academic well-being Use CBT strategies and positive behavior supports to address behavioral or mental health challenges Foster a safe and inclusive school climate in alignment with Responsive Classroom, PBIS, or Montessori best practices Develop and coordinate a system for wraparound services, linking students and families to community resources Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and outside providers for cohesive student support Offer crisis intervention, early intervention, and prevention programs as needed Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations Youll enjoy the opportunity to work collaboratively with dedicated professionals in an encouraging environment, making an impact where it matters most.
