Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current and valid Mississippi Standard Teachers License (required) Prior experience working with high school-aged students is strongly preferred Familiarity with counseling duties and best practices in a school-based setting Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Compassionate, approachable, and committed to student well-being

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver counseling services in alignment with Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) standards and requirements Offer academic advisement, personal/social development, and college/career planning for students Facilitate small group and individual counseling sessions as needed Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success Contribute to a positive and inclusive school climate Provide crisis intervention and referrals to appropriate resources or services This contract position begins immediately and runs through June, offering the chance to work with a dedicated team in a supportive environment. Manage a manageable caseload at one school site, fostering strong relationships with students and staff throughout the academic year.
