9657309-27583 Job Description Make a meaningful impact as a school counselor supporting a diverse student population in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to provide guidance and foster well-being among both special education (SPED) and general education students. You'll work Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, serving a caseload of approximately 500 studentsa large but achievable mix that includes varying levels of support, with some students needing only brief annual check-ins. Ideal candidates possess a compassionate approach, strong organizational skills, and the dedication to support students academic, emotional, and social growth. Collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families is key, as is balancing broad caseload responsibilities with individualized care.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Valid counseling certification or eligibility in the relevant state Previous experience as a counselor in K-12 settings preferred Familiarity with SPED regulations and protocols Expertise working with students from varied backgrounds Exceptional communication, crisis intervention, and problem-solving abilities High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Primary Responsibilities:
