Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be an active student advocate that encourages student voice.
Works with students on academic planning and goal setting.
Provides short term counseling:
individual, group, and crisis intervention as needed.
Collaboration with teachers, administration, families, and outside resources.
Employs data driven decision making in order to provide proactive remediation and intervention.
Works to improve equity, access, achievement, and opportunities for all students.
COMMENTS
Must be creative and passionate instructional leader who possesses the ability to motivate students to strive for academic excellence. Successful candidates will work in a fast paced, challenging environment that is dedicated to academic and social success for all students. Collaborative team players that have the desire to become part of a dynamic team are encouraged to apply.
Job Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess or be eligible for New York State School Guidance Counselor Certification
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
Prior experience at the middle school level preferred.
Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
