Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a part-time Licensed Professional Counselor working in a school setting. This contract opportunity focuses on providing support and guidance to an 18-student caseload, ensuring each student is heard, empowered, and set up for academic and personal success. With the upcoming school year starting on August 17th, this role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about youth mental health and enjoy working collaboratively within educational environments.
Key Qualifications:
Current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) licensure in Texas Experience in a school or adolescent-focused counseling environment preferred Strong skills in individual counseling, crisis intervention, and student support Ability to build rapport and foster trust with students, staff, and families Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Position Responsibilities:
Provide counseling services for a caseload of 18 students Implement strategies to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to create individualized student plans Conduct assessments and document progress in accordance with school guidelines Assist with crisis response and conflict resolution as needed Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment This contract role is designed to offer professional flexibility, making it a great fit for those wanting to balance impactful clinical work with other commitments.
