Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on academic advising, behavioral health, mental health counseling, and childhood development. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and external professionals to develop comprehensive support plans for students facing behavioral or emotional challenges. Assist students with conflict management, social skills development, and guidance on adolescent development issues. Conduct assessments related to standardized testing, educational compliance, and regulation understanding to support student progress. Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information related to student welfare and child protective services cases. Facilitate workshops on cultural diversity counseling, social work topics, and school policy awareness to promote an inclusive school climate. Support students from diverse cultural backgrounds by implementing culturally responsive counseling strategies aligned with school legal knowledge and child welfare standards. Skills Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, staff, and external agencies. Expertise in special education needs and behavior management techniques. Proficiency in guidance counseling methods tailored for childhood development and adolescent issues. Experience working with children across various age groups and backgrounds in classroom or childcare settings. Knowledge of school legal requirements, educational regulations, and compliance standards. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while providing ethical student support services. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
