Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm The Culinary Job Coach I is responsible to provide employment development, and support services to all program participants in OSBI Culinary Kitchens, workshops, and (potentially) within job sites in response to DDD and One Step Beyond Inc. member needs and choices in employment. The Culinary job Coach I responsibilities include collaborating with other members of the culinary teams, addressing the needs, interests, aptitudes, and PCSP Goals and Objectives of all members participating in Culinary Programs, which includes daily/weekly/monthly curriculum delivery and all other means to advance program goals achievement, responsiveness to members, and continuous improvement. The Culinary Job Coach I will be instrumental in teaching our participants appropriate employment skills, behaviors, and will closely support members as they progress and learn their jobs efficiently, safely and successfully. Culinary Job Coach I is required to work all catering functions even if functions are outside of normal working schedule.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Must have or be able to pass Fingerprint
DIJ & FBI
clearance. Experience working with individuals with intellectual disability or a similar population. Ability to gain knowledge and implement practices that show attention to compassionate and safe supervision of individuals with intellectual disability. Appropriate certifications and clearance according to State Regulations Good driving record must pass MVR Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs Must have or be able to obtain Food Handlers Card Responsibilities Provide transportation to and accompany participants to employment sites and all community-based activities to, observe performance, oversee work training, and provide instruction and assistance accordingly.
Deliver program curriculum based on individual needs of program members and in accordance with PCSP goals and objectives by implementing the daily schedule.
Coach, mentor and support members in their job skills development.
Provide safety and proactive supervision when supporting members by assisting and accompanying them on campus or community activities.
Report and document concise daily member's progress including completing daily logs, communication books, data sheets, etc.
Model and demonstrate appropriate behavior management techniques (Article 9 training) with program members.
Consider the welfare, growth and development of program members as a top priority in all organizational and program decision making, planning, and development, and model and demonstrate appropriate behavior management techniques (Article 9 training) with program members.
Assist Supervisor in maintaining and enhancing positive relationships/partnerships with community service, employer partners, and catering customers.
Motivate Culinary participants to achieve effective collaborative interaction and mutual respect and encourage self-determination.
Seek outside resources to grow personal knowledge and awareness of growing trends and best practices to continuously improve Culinary Programs.
Any other duties as assigned.
