SUMMARY:
Under the direction of an assigned Coordinator, serve as a District liaison between identified students, parents, schools and outside community organizations and agencies to support efforts to improve school attendance, tardiness and child welfare; provide interpretation services for both oral communication between English and a designated second language; provide information and materials to parents and families to assist them in utilizing community services and local resources; plan and conduct parenting classes and new staff training; perform a variety of clerical duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school and two years of responsible experience in community relations, social service, inter-group activities or intercultural activities, or similar program work. Examples of relevant experience are as an Instructional Assistant, school or civic community aide service, or supplemental college-level course work in related areas.
