Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 2:30-5:30 PM |
Onsite Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00/hour (D.O.E.)
Job Type:
Part-TIme Ready to make a difference and stay active while doing it? Do you bring energy, positivity, and a passion for supporting kids? We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and physically active teammates to join our STORM Program as Student Engagement Coaches in West Sacramento (Washington Unified School District) . This is a hands-on, movement-based role where you'll lead outdoor games, support positive student interactions, and help create a safe, engaging environment for elementary school students—during and after school.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead by example: Be a consistent, positive role model for students throughout the school day.
Get moving:
Facilitate outdoor recess games, physical activities, and team-building exercises—expect to be on your feet and engaged.
Create inclusive spaces:
Support behavioral expectations while promoting cooperation, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
Build connections:
Foster meaningful relationships that encourage student confidence, leadership, and belonging.
Stay organized:
Use (or learn to use) Google Sheets for basic tracking of participation and activities.
Requirements:
High energy, strong character, and a desire to make a positive impact Comfortable with physical activity—outdoor games, movement, and active engagement are daily expectations Must pass background check and TB test High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework or youth experience preferred) Available Monday-Friday Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential Basic understanding of child development and social-emotional learning is a plus You're a
