This is a requirement, not a preference. This position is funded through our Florida VR contract. Every direct-service employee must be certified by Florida VR as an Employment Specialist, which means you must meet ONE of the four pathways below. If you do not meet one of these, we legally cannot hire you — Florida VR will reject your certification. Please do not apply unless you qualify. Pathway 1: Four (4) years of proven experience in a public vocational rehabilitation and/or workforce development setting working with individuals with disabilities — including job coaching and job placement, workforce skill development, and tailored support plans leading to competitive integrated employment. Pathway 2: A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in rehabilitation, counseling, social work, psychology, exceptional education (or

teaching certificate), human resources, business administration, or economics — plus one (1) year of experience as described in Pathway 1. Pathway 3: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the fields listed above — plus two (2) years of experience as described in Pathway 1. Pathway 4: An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university (or a bachelor's/master's in an unrelated field) — plus three (3) years of experience as described in Pathway 1.

Note:

qualifying experience must be in a public VR and/or workforce development setting serving individuals with disabilities. General HR, retail management, or unrelated coaching experience does not count. You must also be able to provide: Copy of your degree and official college transcript (required by Florida VR — no exceptions) A detailed resume — your employment history descriptions must match your resume exactly Two professional references from employers or providers What you'll do: one-on-one job coaching and job placement for individuals with disabilities, tailored support plans, employer outreach and workplace advocacy, and outcome tracking per VR contract requirements. Pay:

$50,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
