As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment. A typical day might include the following: Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites Provide occasional transportation to interviews and other essential employment milestones, while supporting individuals towards independent community travel. (mileage reimbursement provided) This position may interest you if: You want to positively impact an individual's life You have previous experience in high-touch customer service environments You thrive being part of a collaborative team, yet can work independently Career growth opportunities - potential selection into our Management Training Program for people who have the following experience: Management of a small team Informal leadership in sports, clubs, or civic organizations Additional requirements include:

MUST HAVE A

bachelor's degree with one year of direct experience working with individuals with disabilities OR an associate degree with two years of direct experience working with individuals with disabilities OR High School Diploma (or GED) with four years direct experience working with individuals with disabilities. Valid driver's license and comfortable traveling within your local community Monday - Friday, daytime business hours (availability until 6pm and minimum of 30 hours for part-time) Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device Interested in learning more?
