We are looking for a Career Specialist to join our team in the Cherokee, NC area. The ideal candidate must be highly energetic with a go-getter attitude. We're seeking someone with natural leadership ability who will take initiative and engage in selecting, screening, on boarding and maintaining Associate and client relationships.
Job Duties:
The position requires initiative, independent reasoning, judgment, and sound decision making abilities. Assist in development of recruiting initiatives and actively participate in the recruitment and selection of qualified candidates for manufacturing and administrative positions. Completing phone-based screenings as well as in person interviews and new-hire orientations. Administer Associate pre-employment testing and coordinate with hiring managers Conduct new hire & safety orientations Assist with implementation of weekly time-worked initiatives and gathering of time records Conduct coaching of Associates & handle disciplinary action issues as needed Maintain Associate files with timely and accurate documentation Occasional visits to client facilities for customer service interactions or to handle Associate issues Ensures safety rules and regulations are followed Must maintain a high level of confidentiality Interact with Associates, Client contacts such as Supervisors, Human Resources & Plant Management in a professional manner.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Required Previous experience in Human Resources, Manufacturing Team Leadership, or Staffing is highly desired! Must have a stable work history that reflects dependability Track record of progressing through an organization is a plus! Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills & proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Strong sense of urgency - must work well under a deadline A competitive spirit that will strive to succeed Detailed oriented with a strong focus on accuracy Ability to work in a team environment; however, must be able to work independently without the need for constant supervision High level of professionalism, confidentiality & integrity
