OOWH Wellness Center, Recovery Residences, or community-based settings throughout Clermont and Brown counties. Position Summary The

CPRS/CDCA

provides peer-based recovery support and substance use counseling services to individuals in recovery, drawing on lived experience and professional training to promote hope, empowerment, and long-term wellness. This position bridges recovery housing, community supports, and treatment systems to help participants develop recovery capital, navigate services, and sustain sobriety. The role emphasizes person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally competent approaches consistent with SAMHSA's dimensions of recovery and OhioMHAS standards for peer and SUD treatment services.

Key Responsibilities:

Peer Recovery Support and/or CDCA Services Provide one-on-one and group peer recovery coaching using motivational interviewing and recovery-oriented approaches. Support residents/clients in developing individualized recovery and wellness plans, setting achievable goals, and connecting with natural supports. Model recovery through appropriate self-disclosure, boundary setting, and ongoing demonstration of lived experience in wellness. Facilitate connections to community resources (employment, education, transportation, medical, and social support). Coordinate with recovery housing staff and ensure continuity of care for residents engaging in external services. Encourage participation in peer-led groups, SMART Recovery, and community recovery events. Maintain clear and timely documentation in OneStep/NextGEN or other agency-approved EHR systems. Conduct basic SUD screenings, intakes, and assist with treatment planning under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Deliver psychoeducational or skill-building groups related to recovery, relapse prevention, and life skills. Support clinical documentation compliance per Ohio Administrative Code and OhioMHAS billing requirements. Monitor client progress and report significant changes in behavior, engagement, or risk to supervisory staff. Collaborate with Clinical Director and interdisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate level-of-care coordination. Program and Administrative Support Assist in program development, data collection, and outcome tracking for grants and compliance reports. Maintain organized records, files, and databases in accordance with agency policy and

Part 2. Support scheduling and coordination of client sessions, groups, and transportation. Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and assist with client intake paperwork as needed. Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and reports for internal staff and partner meetings. Help track inventory, office supplies, and assist with purchase requests or maintenance needs. Participate in team meetings, supervision, and continuing education to maintain certification(s). Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards across all administrative and client interactions. Engage in outreach and community education to reduce stigma and increase awareness of recovery support options. Certifications/Credentials Required (or in progress) Current Ohio Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (CPRS) credential through OhioMHAS. Active Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certification through OhioMHAS. Required Qualifications Demonstrated lived experience in recovery from substance use and/or mental health conditions. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals. Ability to document accurately and timely using electronic record systems. Valid Ohio driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in recovery housing, peer support programs, or behavioral health settings. Knowledge of community resources and local recovery networks in Clermont and Brown Counties. Experience performing general office duties such as scheduling, client recordkeeping, and administrative support. CPR/First Aid certification.

On Our Way Home provides mileage reimbursement for any work-related driving. Are you willing and able to drive clients in your personal vehicle, as required? Have you held a valid driver's license for at least four years with no major violations (i.e. no reckless operation or DUI, etc., in recent years)? Up to one speeding ticket (or similar) minor violations in the last three years is generally okay.
