Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mentoring and training individuals, particularly those with developmental disabilities and autism. This role involves providing support, guidance, and skill development to help individuals achieve their personal and professional goals. The Coach will work collaboratively with clients, families, and community resources to foster an inclusive environment that promotes growth and independence. Duties Responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment while assisting an individual in transitioning into a work environment. Instruct and assist individuals in how to complete job tasks to employer standards. Assist individual in developing natural and peer supports and adjustment to work environment. Perform job task analysis for newly hired participants, assist with ways to help individuals learn job duties. Create support plans identifying employer's and industry performance standards. Decrease supports as individuals increase independence in completing tasks. Provide continued schedule supports after individuals have reached their expected level of independence to enhance placement stability and retention. Establishes and maintains relationships with employers and personnel from supportive service agencies to develop opportunities for individuals. Assist supervisor to complete program objectives. Keep current with OOD information as assigned. Assess work site concerns and develop a plan of action. Perform daily record keeping (i.e. DDF) Exchange information with other support staff to ensure seamless communication within and outside the agency when applicable. Communicates changes for ongoing support to supervisor. Aware of OSHA regulations and reports to supervisor any concerns on job-site. Assist with CARF accreditation. Attend team meetings when requested and communicate any concerns or progress a person is making. Assist Job Developers with job searches and filling out applications when requested. Supervise and work alongside individuals in a group employment setting. Maintain a caseload of individuals that receive DD services (after OOD case closes). Ability to transport individuals in personal vehicle. Ability to work varied hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends, holidays, and split shifts. Must be available when needed for the development of a work site or presence needed at a work site. Communicates effectively in written and oral form. Adheres to department and Ability Works policies and procedures. Attends and participates in staff meetings and training to obtain and provide information. Performs other duties as assigned. Regular job attendance.

From $18.00 per hour
