Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Employment Specialist and become a vital catalyst for empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve meaningful employment and independence. In this role, you will provide personalized career coaching, develop tailored workforce strategies, and connect clients with community resources. Your energetic approach will inspire confidence and foster growth among diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and those from underserved communities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in people's lives while advancing your expertise in social services, workforce development, and client advocacy. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' skills, interests, and employment goals. Develop individualized employment plans that align with clients' strengths and aspirations. Provide coaching on job search techniques, interview preparation, resume writing, and workplace etiquette. Facilitate training sessions on workforce development topics such as labor laws, workplace accommodations, and soft skills. Collaborate with employers, community organizations, and service providers to create inclusive employment opportunities. Maintain detailed case management records and track client progress using Microsoft Office tools. Offer mentoring and ongoing support to clients during their job search and post-employment phases. Requirements Demonstrated knowledge of employment & labor law and best practices in workforce development. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, including understanding their unique needs. Background in social work, addiction counseling, teaching, or related social services fields. Strong communication skills for client interviewing, client communication, and training delivery. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting purposes. Experience working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations. Proven ability to coach, mentor, recruit, train, and develop clients effectively. Familiarity with case management principles and client advocacy strategies. Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 28.0 per week
