This is a flexible, part-time position with the opportunity to increase hours over time by working with multiple clients. Ideal for candidates seeking work that fits around your schedule, with the option to grow hours over time. Our respite caregivers support families by offering rest and relief to parents and guardians from the daily care of their loved ones. The care provided is non-skilled and tailored to each individuals needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist individuals with on the Spectrum or with developmental disabilities in their daily routines.
  • Supervise and engage with clients through activities such as playing board games, puzzles, drawing, or helping with homework
  • Encourage participation in stimulating and enjoyable routines
  • Support with light tasks such as meal prep, hygiene, or mobility as needed
  • Ensure safety and overall well-being of clients at all times.
Scheduling:
Schedules being on a part-time basis, typically during afterschool and early evening hours, or weekends as needed. Hour per client are generally assigned monthly and may vary based on individual care plans. Caregivers are encouraged to accept multiple clients if they're looking to build toward a full-time schedule.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with Autism or developmental disabilities (required)
  • Responsible, patient, reliability, and a caring, professional attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • CPR/First Aide certification (preferred) This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families in your community.
