Job Description
Job Summary Beta-Care Support Solutions LLC is an Independent Living Services (ILS) provider vendored with the Inland Regional Center (IRC). We are dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to live independently and with dignity within their communities. Our services include assistance with daily living activities, money management, social skills development, community navigation, and other supports designed to help individuals achieve their personal goals and experience the most fulfilling and independent life possible. We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Independent Living Skills (ILS) Support Providers to join our growing team. Position Summary The Independent Living Skills (ILS) Worker will provide individualized, one-on-one support to adults with developmental disabilities in their preferred language, both in their homes and throughout the community. This position focuses on teaching, coaching, and empowering individuals to develop the skills necessary for greater independence and self-sufficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing individualized guidance and training in daily living skills Offering language-appropriate communication and instruction Supporting clients in their home environment and during community activities Assisting with personal care tasks as needed Teaching money management, budgeting, and financial responsibility skills Helping clients navigate public transportation and access community resources Encouraging social skill development and meaningful community integration Assisting with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy living practices Supporting clients in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized living environment Helping clients schedule and attend medical and other important appointments Teaching cooking and food preparation skills in the client's own kitchen Providing advocacy assistance when needed Promoting independence while ensuring client safety and well-being Maintaining accurate documentation, progress notes, and service records Following and implementing individualized service plans and care plans Qualifications Previous experience providing Independent Living Services (ILS) or Supported Living Services (SLS) preferred Familiarity with implementing individualized care plans and support strategies Compassionate, patient, and dependable Ability to teach and motivate individuals with diverse learning styles
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred). Current and valid California driver's license. Reliable personal vehicle with current automobile insurance. Ability and willingness to drive clients and travel throughout the community as needed. Current TB test/clearance as required by state and agency regulations. Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Ability to work independently while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting. Basic computer skills and ability to complete required service notes and reports.
