Special Requirements and Qualifications Multi-Resident Care Experience Proven ability to manage and prioritize care for multiple residents simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Dementia and Memory Care Knowledge Specialized training or experience working with residents diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Experience with behavioral redirection, de-escalation techniques, and memory care best practices. Core Competencies Exceptional patience and compassion. Strong situational awareness and attention to resident safety. Physical stamina and ability to safely assist with resident transfers and mobility support. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Certifications Current CPR and First Aid Certification required. Duties and Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance. Safely assist with resident transfers and operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and facility protocols using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques. Prepare and cook complete meals for residents. Assist residents during mealtimes and ensure proper nutrition and hydration. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing light housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas. Document all care activities accurately and thoroughly in compliance with facility policies and state regulations. Encourage social engagement by supporting resident participation in activities and facilitating communication with family members. Promote resident dignity, privacy, independence, and overall well-being. Qualifications and Experience Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of RECENT and similar caregiving experience preferred, particularly in an RCFE, assisted living, memory care, or home care setting. Live Scan fingerprint clearance and criminal background check required. Current TB test and health screening required. Current First Aid and CPR certification required, or must be obtained prior to employment in accordance with facility policy. Medication administration training preferred. Must be compassionate, dependable, patient, respectful, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
