Overview Join our compassionate team as a Live-In Caregiver, where your dedication and expertise will make a meaningful difference in the life of our patient. This rewarding role involves providing comprehensive personal care, health monitoring, and emotional support to an individual in a home setting. As a vital member of our caregiving community, you will promote independence, safety, and well-being for him under your care. This position offers the unique opportunity to build trusting relationships while delivering high-quality home healthcare assistance in a supportive environment. Duties Provide personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and recognizing changes in condition; accurately document medical information. Assist with medication administration following prescribed schedules and medical terminology guidelines; ensure proper storage and documentation Support with complex needs such as catheter care, ALS care, and end-of-life care with sensitivity and professionalism Facilitate safe patient transfers using methods such as patient lifts or Hoyer lifts; employ patient transfer techniques that prioritize safety for both caregiver and client Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations; document medical records meticulously and adhere to home health care regulations Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, formula meal prep , and ensuring a safe living environment for him. Requirements are a plus but not required with paid training . Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, geriatrics, or in assisted living environments; prior home healthcare or nursing home experience is highly valued Strong knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation; understanding of home health agency procedures and hospice or palliative care practices preferred Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; knowledge of home & community care standards is advantageous Ability to work independently in a live-in setting while maintaining professional boundaries and providing compassionate patient care Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to enhancing quality of life through attentive caregiving.
