Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to an elderly individual in her own home. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion, ensuring client receives the highest quality of care through attentive observation, assistance with daily activities, and compassionate support tailored to her needs. Responsibilities Assist client with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as manual handling techniques. Monitor patient's health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene standards. Administer medications as prescribed, following care plans meticulously and documenting all medication administration activities. Support client with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and maintaining their safety and comfort. Assist with housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment for clients. Provide transportation assistance for appointments or errands, ensuring safe patient transfer methods and personal transportation support. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow individualized care plans that respect residents' rights and promote optimal health outcomes. Engage in patient observation to detect early signs of health issues or behavioral changes, especially when working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as geriatrics or nursing homes. Emergency response protocols. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times. Ability to assist with manual handling tasks including light to medium lifting and patient transfers using equipment safely. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Experience working with resident requiring Alzheimer's care, dementia support, memory care strategies, or hospice care is highly desirable. Capable of performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, vacuuming and meal preparation while maintaining a professional attitude toward home & community care standards. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately. Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities in a home health setting.
Pay:
$1,500.00 per month Application Question(s): Female required, May be Hispanic or Punjabi speaking. Need own transportation.
