Job Summary:

Homemakers are responsible for managing the client's home and helping clients with instrumental activities of daily living.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Complete criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen Access to a car Possess valid driver's license and auto insurance Ability to communicate with clients in a courteous manner and treat them with respect 0-2 years working with the elderly Duties (including but not limited to): Light housekeeping: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions Shopping for groceries Transportation for client which includes visits to doctor appointments, friends, and family members Errand service to client to includes grocery and clothes shopping Reminding the client to take medication Providing companionship for the client (includes accompanying client on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, assistance with hobbies, etc.) Record and report changes in the client's physical condition, behavior or appearance to
