Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
ADSP / DSP
to join our vibrant care team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support and assistance to residents in various care settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care that promotes independence and well-being. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury for both residents and staff Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, resident progress, and incident reports Uphold residents' rights by respecting their autonomy, privacy, and personal preferences Requirements Prior experience assisting with ADLs in assisted living or nursing home environments Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support, and memory care strategies Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to elder or disability care are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments preferred Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely when needed for community outings or appointments Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Physical stamina for heavy lifting, long shifts, and assisting residents with mobility needs Familiarity with resident's rights, geriatrics principles, and safe patient handling practices Join us in creating a caring community where every individual receives respectful, personalized support.
