Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated In Home Caregiver to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to clients in their residences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient support, personal care, and home health services. This role involves assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support while respecting client dignity and privacy. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, medication management, and light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Support clients with mobility using proper manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods. Administer medications following prescribed instructions while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance. Facilitate communication with clients and their families to promote understanding of care plans and address concerns effectively. Assist with transportation for medical appointments or errands, ensuring safety during transfers and travel. Experience Candidates should have prior experience working in home health or community care settings, preferably with seniors or individuals with disabilities. Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities is highly valued. Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory support, hospice care, and resident's rights is essential. Additional qualifications include proficiency in patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, first aid and CPR certification, use of Hoyer lifts or other patient transfer devices, and adherence to safety protocols including heavy lifting techniques. A background in assisted living or nursing home environments is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, compassion for caregiving roles, and a commitment to maintaining client dignity through personalized support aligned with care plans.
