This vital role involves delivering personalized care in clients' homes, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to quality caregiving, with experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and those requiring memory or dementia care. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through professional, respectful, and attentive care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the home environment. Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies and engaging them in meaningful activities. Maintain a clean, safe living space by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to promote a healthy environment. Document care provided meticulously in accordance with agency policies and coordinate with healthcare teams for ongoing patient support. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Certification or training in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance or medication administration are advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and execute manual handling procedures effectively. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to caregiving; ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or geriatrics is preferred; familiarity with care plans and medication management is essential. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on assignment locations.
