Schedule Below Saturday 12 pm-Sunday 12 pm (Sleepover position) Looking for a patient, loving caretaker/direct support staff to work one on one with female client and assist her with medication, eating and bathing. Staff must always remain within arms reach of client as she is prone to falling. Staff will be responsible for cooking, cleaning and providing client with a weekend schedule of activities. Staff must be willing to work full shift and sleep within the home. Qualifications o Must have a valid driver's license. o Must have a vehicle. o Must be willing to use your vehicle with your client. o Must get fingerprinted. o Must pass drug test. o Must complete online & hands on training. PennReach is a non-profit who provides full service/in home care to individuals with special needs. We support individuals to live in apartments of their own in various affordable housing developments, as well as in our group homes in the state of New Jersey. Our goal is to not only provide individuals with housing, but to maintain the supports to give our residents the life they deserve
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent Driver's license valid in the State of NJ with good driving record Shall be at least 18 years of age or older. Employee must cooperate with the licensee and Department staff in any inspection or investigation.
REQUIRED SKILL LEVEL
The ability to exercise good judgment and use common sense. The ability to remain calm in crisis situations. The ability to interact with a wide range of people.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Works a flexible 40 hour week. May be assigned to one or varied programs. Assists individuals, as necessary in daily living skills. Completes training with individuals toward IHP goals. Attends conferences, seminars and training relevant to the position. Administers medication and completes documentation of same. Accompanies individuals to and from appointments and activities. Builds a support network between the individuals and community members. Accurately completes all in-house documentation Participates in Circle(s) of Support for personal futures planning. Completes all duties as delegated by the Residential Manager/Assistant Residential Manager. Must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training. $19.00 per hour
