Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care and daily living support. In this vital role, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance the quality of life for residents or clients across various care settings. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a warm, respectful environment where individuals feel valued and cared for. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications following prescribed schedules and safety protocols Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, resident progress, and incident reports Follow resident's rights policies to promote dignity, privacy, and autonomy at all times Experience Prior assisted living or nursing home experience preferred, especially in geriatrics or long-term care environments Proven experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and behavior management strategies Knowledge of safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training is a plus Experience operating standard passenger cars for client transportation or community outings Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams in home & community care settings Join us as a Caregiver to bring compassion into action!
