Saylorsburg. Male. Providing relief for his full-time caregiver. Hours Tuesday, Friday, & Saturday 3p-7p
GENERAL CONSIDERATION
We encourage all caregivers to apply to be put on our roster for future cases. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, patient condition, and behavioral changes; report findings to healthcare professionals as needed. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and preparation. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations. Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods, including equipment like Hoyer lifts, to ensure safety during mobility assistance. Engage in light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment for clients. Support clients with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease or dementia through specialized techniques and patience. Implement individualized care plans designed by healthcare professionals to meet each client's unique needs. Ensure residents' rights are upheld by respecting their preferences, privacy, and autonomy at all times. Communicate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams to coordinate care efforts and provide updates on client status. Experience Prior experience working as an in-home caregiver or in assisted living/nursing home settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience with patient observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and hospice or home health environments. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is advantageous. Background supporting seniors or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders through personalized caregiving approaches. Proven ability to assist with ADLs efficiently while maintaining compassion and professionalism in home & community care settings. Medical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must possess a 1 step PPD testing within 12 months of hiring, or a 2 step testing will be required Background Check Requirements State background checks will be conducted prior to your first day of work Federal fingerprints will be required if you are not a PA resident for 2 consecutive years Join us in providing heartfelt support that empowers individuals to live safely and comfortably at home!
