CPR Full Job Description Caregivers Pay:
18.00 an hour We are currently seeking experienced Direct Care Workers to assist clients in and around Berks County. Our compassionate team of Caregivers make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities and personal care. Responsibilities:
Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to patients of all ages. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and medication reminders while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and documenting medical information accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Support patients with mobility using transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques to ensure safety during movement. Administer medications following home healthcare regulations and document medication administration precisely. Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral management. Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment for clients. Always maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and respecting privacy. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or wound dressing changes under supervision or guidance from healthcare professionals. Support hospice or end-of-life care needs with compassion, patience, and respect for patient wishes.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation Prior experience working as a Home Health Aide or in assisted living/nursing home settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support (CPR/First Aid). Demonstrated ability to work effectively with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities including developmental disabilities or dementia. Experience with home health agency operations is a plus. Strong communication skills for client interaction and coordination with healthcare teams. Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and patient transfers safely while adhering to safety protocols. Certification in CPR/First Aid is required; additional certifications related to hospice or dementia care are advantageous. Must comply with home health care regulations and maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA standards. Flexibility to work live-in shifts or provide assistance in various community settings is desirable.
