Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and health management. This vital role involves delivering personalized support that promotes independence, safety, and well-being in a comfortable home environment. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be an integral part of enhancing the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism, empathy, and enthusiasm. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavior management Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and repositioning Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Support residents with community engagement activities, light housekeeping, and maintaining a safe living environment Follow all resident rights policies diligently, ensuring dignity and respect are upheld at all times Experience Prior assisted living or residential care home experience is highly desirable Demonstrated experience working with individuals with cognitive disabilities or developmental disabilities Knowledge of geriatrics, dementia care, and memory care best practices Hands-on experience with medication administration and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with safe patient lifting practices, manual handling techniques, and the use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts Experience working in long-term care settings or home & community care environments Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to caregiving or healthcare are a plus Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals while demonstrating empathy and professionalism Join our team as a Live-In Caregiver to provide heartfelt support that empowers individuals to live comfortably and confidently at home.
