Client is a young adult man who is mostly seeking a supervisory companion that can prompt him through his routine, and accompany him during outings. Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those in senior care, assisted living, and home health environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care, as well as experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities and Alzheimer's care. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide personal care services including meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the client's condition. Support clients with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's overall well-being. Assist with medication administration as required by the care plan. Maintain a safe environment by observing patient behavior and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals. Qualifications Previous experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred. PCA Certification acquired (company can provide certification). Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is essential. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's care is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges.
