Overview Join our dedicated team as a Sponsored Residential Provider / Direct Support Professional (DSP), where you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities and cognitive challenges. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, personalized care within a residential setting, fostering independence and promoting well-being. You will work closely with residents to support their daily needs, ensure their safety, and help them achieve their personal goals in a nurturing environment. All positions are paid, recognizing the importance of your valuable contributions. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all care provided Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to track health status Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive disabilities Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to support resident transfers and prevent injury if needed Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Follow resident's rights policies and ensure respectful communication at all times Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care settings is highly preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training will be provided if necessary Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely to assist residents with mobility needs Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is advantageous Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Valid driver's license for standard passenger car operation is required for community outings or appointments Demonstrated understanding of resident's rights, medication administration procedures, and safety protocols This role offers a fulfilling career path for compassionate individuals eager to make a positive impact.
