Job Description
Job Summary We are urgently seeking a compassionate and bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Home Health Aide (HHA) caregiver to join our dedicated team in Ridgeway, VA. This vital role involves providing personalized, high-quality care to clients in their homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. As a Spanish HHA caregiver, you will play a crucial part in supporting individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or requiring hospice and end-of-life care. Your energetic and empathetic approach will help enhance the quality of life for our clients while fostering a trusting relationship built on respect and confidentiality. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive personal care assistance, including helping clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility Observe and monitor patients' health status by tracking vital signs and reporting changes promptly Assist with medication administration following medical instructions and home healthcare regulations Support clients with mobility using patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs Maintain accurate medical documentation within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, especially those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe environment Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality at all times Assist with specialized care needs including catheter care, end-of-life support, and hospice services Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure personalized care plans are met Qualifications Proven experience as a home health aide or caregiver in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings Fluency in Spanish is required; English proficiency is preferred for effective communication Experience working with individuals with disabilities or geriatrics is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with patient transfers safely using appropriate equipment Understanding of home health care regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA standards Strong communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving attitude; reliable and punctual nature Join our team today to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most!
