Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Overnight Caregiver to join our team in Berkeley Springs, WV. This vital role involves providing overnight support and personalized care to clients with diverse needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night. Duties Monitor clients' health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition during overnight shifts Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, mobility, and medication reminders Ensure client safety through vigilant patient observation and timely response to any emergencies or changes in condition Support residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care needs by providing compassionate companionship and engagement Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks to promote a clean, safe environment Use appropriate patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques, including Hoyer lifts when necessary Skills Proven experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Strong knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, and vital signs assessment Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders support Ability to perform patient personal care assistance and assist with ADLs effectively Skilled in emergency response procedures including CPR and first aid certification Excellent communication skills for client interaction and family updates Knowledge of resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, and confidentiality standards Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling for patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Join us in providing exceptional overnight care that truly makes a difference!
