About the
Position:
Develop a supportive relationship with clients and assist children and families in addressing needs and meeting goals with the overall objective of achieving solutions that promote stability and permanency.
A Typical Day as a
Community Outreach On-Call Advocate:
Work with children, teens, adults, and families who are experiencing crisis
Provide positive intervention, stabilization, de-escalation, and conflict management using a trauma-informed and family centered approach.
Document all services delivered to track client progress and plan for achievement of established goals.
Location:
123 S. McArthur St. Macomb, IL, with willingness to travel and spend several hours in the field visiting client's homes, communities, and attending court. This office provides services to the following counties: Hancock, McDonough, and Fulton
Work Hours:
Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served
Does the Following High School Diploma or GED
Child Welfare Experience (preferred)
Additional Qualifications:
- Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Obtain an insured vehicle
- At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
