POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent of this position is responsible for providing direct case management services to individuals and families impacted by disasters while also working directly with the Community Services Representative in the respective counties. This position ensures quality service delivery, coordinates resources, and provides guidance to individuals and staff in navigating complex recovery processes. The Lead Case Manager serves as a liaison between clients, community partners, and agency leadership to facilitate timely and effective recovery outcomes. 7.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive case management for disaster-affected individuals and families, including intake, needs assessment, recovery planning, and follow-up. Assist clients in accessing disaster relief programs, housing, financial assistance, counseling, and other community resources. Advocate for clients with agencies, landlords, and service providers to resolve barriers to recovery. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records in compliance with program requirements. Participate in coordination meetings with community partners and disaster recovery networks. 8.
TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS REQUIRED
(QUALIFICATIONS) Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, emergency management, or related field; however, four years of relevant experience may be substituted for education. Minimum of 2 years' experience in case management, preferably in disaster recovery, human services, or crisis response. At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience is preferred. Knowledge of disaster relief systems, recovery processes, and community resources. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Broad understanding of computer systems, computer applications and operating systems, data entry and reporting, including familiarity with web pages, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and various other data systems. Ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision. Possession of a valid Missouri Driver's license, full-time use of an automobile, and adequate liability insurance. Ability to travel as needed. May require occasional evening/weekend work in response to disasters. Ability to travel within the service area is required. Possession of a valid Missouri Driver's license, full-time use of an automobile, and adequate liability insurance. Other duties as assigned.
